May Your Christmas Be Merry & Bright

When I was a little girl, I used to watch my father reflect upon the year and write a list of goals he would like to achieve in the new year. He did this consistently and I learned that most of the time, the intentions he wrote down on paper seemed to come true. Beneath those intentions were a lot of hard work and faith.

As I became an adult, I started doing the same exercise and continue to do so. I’ve kept those sheets of paper for decades. Sometimes I look back at them noticing dreams that were long forgotten and others I was able to attain.

Now, I’m reflecting on 2020 and reminded of the lessons, losses, gains and deep gratitude I have for all of it…yes, even the tough stuff.

I’ve made changes over the years beyond goal setting, remembering the people and circumstances I’m grateful for, along with the experiences and essences of life I desire.

It’s a holiday tradition that’s been passed down to me and like many other traditions we enjoy with our family and friends, they’re filled with seeds of hope and joy. From baking cookies to putting up decorations and sharing special meals together. Whatever those traditions are for you, they bring warmth to our hearts.

Sending best wishes filled with happiness and peace to all. From my home to yours, Merry Christmas.
